How do I install a nic driver under QNX?

Could someone please tell me how to install a NIC driver for QNX? Obviously
everything works under windows, but QNX doesn’t recognize my NIC. I have the
source code for the driver for Linux and was wondering if it was possible to
recompile the code under QNX? I have a Linksys EtherFast 10/100 NIC, if that
helps. I have some other questions regarding “Getting connected to the
Internet” but I need QNX to recognize my NIC before I can do that. Any help
would be greatly appreciated.

With QNX 4 you could use nettrap. For Neutrino, you use io-net to start
your NIC driver.

Linux driver code will not compile for QNX

I have a Linksys EtherFast 10/100 NIC, if that helps.

This card has been discussed before. QSSL claims that they’ve
seen this card with three different chips. One of these
chips worked with the tulip driver. The others are not
supported.

I recommend the NetGear FA310TX. For serious business,
contact Corman.

use “nettrap -vv” to see what nic you have then use “nettrap start” to
start your driver

This has been discussed at length recently. Here’s a
summary. The linksys card has been made with two or three
different controller chips. One of them was supported by
QSSL and would be caught by the latest “nettrap”. I think
it was Net.tulip that worked with it. Other chips were not
supported. There is a beta around that might work on an
additional card. Check with QSSL.
