We manufacture a machine which has 5 QNX nodes in it.
Node 1 is the system controller. The other 4 (nodes 2-5) may
need to be replaced by non-technical users. Does anybody
know a program we could run on Node 1 to update/fix the netmap
after any of nodes 2-5 were replaced? Nodes 2-5 currently boot
from their own flash disk. There could be 2 cases, one where you
know the MAC address of the new node and one where you don’t.
Remote booting nodes 2-5 could be a solution, but we cannot
use a boot prom because of no socket. We have flash disk
that we might be able to put a network boot loader program in if we
knew where to get one and how to install it.
All help appreciated!!

Mario Charest who frequents this group has a wonderful app
called “Automap” which does just what you want. Works like a charm.
