Toshiba PCI BIOS BOOT Problem

Hi there…

updated today the QNXRTP - now hangs the Toshiba CS100…

starting in w95,

‘Press space bar to input boot options…’
pci-bios: No BIOS present - Status ffffffff - errno 0!
pci_server: No dll loaded!
/dev/pci did not mount
_

…game over…
Tosh hangs, just cursor is blinking.

Hm, possible due: The cs100 is without ‘PCI’-BIOS

The former version was booting, unfortunately I don’t have this version any
longer (lack of space).

I tried the boot options, too. Always the same result.
Anyone here with a solution, sugestion, please??
Maybe anywhere the former version archived to dl?

Thanks,
Michael

What is the vintage of this machine? Is it 486, pentium? Does it have
PCMCIA
sockets, or newer PC-card/cardbus sockets?

hello Chris,

Pentium 75, 2 pcmcia II/III, 1 GB HD, 40MB RAM, LCD screen 640x480x16Bit
(under Win95 max. 800x600x8Bit), C&T-video chip, NO CD ROM - hm, it is not
the newest. But I like and need it.

Like mentioned, the former QNXRTP version was working so far. Okay, it was
neccessary to start pccard “by hand”, the screen shows just vga4 640x480 and
some other things - but all in all it was working.

Michael

Hi Michael,

I get the exact same error on a 486 laptop here as well. I will
see what is needed to fix this. For myself it seems to be just
the pci-bios that is causing the problems.
