Ok, this should be my last… how do you start up xphoton?

Why?? are you going to ditch qnx, if you are not… keep coming. Not
having any problems indicate no work is being done…

anyway, Xphoton is always running in qnx rtp. if it crashes restart it
by
$ /usr/photon/bin/Xphoton &

even if then ur app says “could not connect to Xserver” ur DISPLAY
variable might be wrongly set…
on local machine (assuming ur using bash/sh):
$ export DISPLAY=:0.0

on remote machine(assuming ur using bash/sh):
$ export DISPLAY=ur_ip_address:0.0
