What procedure is necessary to post to the qdn newsgroups?
I can read the message, but when I try to post my message
to a qdn newsgroup I get a “not allowed” reply from the server.
The following QNX newsgroups are available from
news://inn.qnx.com:
General Discussion Groups

qdn.public.qnxjobs

No, it’s inn.qnx.com. nntp.qnx.com is where the beta groups are being
hosted, and you need a login and password to get in.

I have beta status for QNX 4, Photon 1.14, TCP/IP and DejaView. I have user
names and passwords for all these betas. I can access the web based beta
support.
I can’t access the private beta newsgroups. Which user name/password do you
use? Are you supposed to get a different user name/password to access the
beta newsgroup?

Ah, yes. There is a way, if you happen to be drunk, thinking “outside
the box”, and extremely lucky. You right-click on the name of your
news server, choose “subscribe/unsubscribe” and press the “servers”
tab. Or, you can press “F3”.
Every time I want to add a news server, I have to re-find this
function, which normally takes about 15 minutes of building
frustration. It will be a wonderful day when vmail goes away.

There are still listed outdated groups in inn.qnx.com which are only for
reading. So posting are not allowed and may be it would make sense in
the meantime to remove these old groups:
