Installation Help

Hello,
I have downloaded the iso today and created a cd. I have used Partition
Magic
and freed some space on my drive, but did not format it. When i boot from
the QNX cd then qnx does not ask me where to install. It wants to create a
prtition itself.
There is no documentation on what it does. Will it create a new partition
and format it
in the qnx native format? How can i tell it to install on the empty partiton
i have created.
Do i need to format the partition, so qnx will see it. What format the
partiton must be formated in.
Is qnx able to create partitons? Why do they mention Partiton magic in their
installation
docs? I would like to install QNX on its own partition.
Sorry for all these questions but i had no trouble so far installing any
Linux distro. There is
no detailed documentation how to do these things.

Thanks

make free space for a new partition but do not create the partition. qnx
will create the partition for you and initialize it with a qnx filesystem.

we mention partition magic because in the cases where you do not want qnx
to ‘sit within a file in a Windows filesystem’, you will most likely need
to shrink an existing Windows partition to create this free space (but make
sure it is not partitioned).
does that help?
