boot problems with a 386sx sbc and neutrino

Actually it is a ALi M6117C Intel 386SX-40 compatible CPU. The problem
is it will not boot - no matter what neutrino image I use. (example
images or images we use for other x86 pc104 computers). All I get is
the alt boot message (and all the …) - then the board either hangs or
reboots.

The board spec’s are:
CPU: ALi M6117C. Intel 80386SX-40 compatible
CPU type: Onboard SQFP
Bus Interface: ISA
BIOS: AMI 128KB Flash BIOS
Chipset: ALi M6117C
I/O Chipset: ITE 8661F
Memory: 4 MB

I assume the problem is that it is not a true 386 but a 386 compatible
chip.

Is there a fix? Has anybody run into this before?

Thanks

Back a few years ago, I had to get a m6117 based board running with Qnx4.xx
there was a problem with the a20 gate handler. Steve McP wrote abit of code that went into the kernal to fix it.

Can you check and see if the memory repeats itself every meg ? It’s a pain ( I’ll try to get the process I used to narrow down the problem.
