802.11b Driver

Does the 802.11b Wavelan driver mentioned on the QNX homepage support 4.2X?
Where can I get a copy of this driver / how much does it cost? Does it
support Lucent/Orinoco Gold cards as well?

I don’t know the answer to any of your other questions, but AFAIK it is only
for QNX6 not QNX4.

It only supports QNX 6.0 or Neutrino right now. And it does support the
Lucent card as well. As for more information on obtaining it and pricing
you will have to contact support@cds-technologies.com or
sales@cds-technologies.com they should have an answer for you.

Mark,

Thanks for your reply. As we have ported all our code to 4.25, it seems we
are stuck for the moment. Does your team plan support for 4.2X in the
future?

Thanks,

I could be a second customer if someone can name an available hardware
model and driver is not too pricey.

I’ll give you a hint for better sales results. Do not sell driver. Sell
hardware with your driver bundled. When people buy hardware they sort of
expect driver to be supplied at no charge

Seriously, is this your hardware or you just resell some? The WL-2000
name does not ring any bell… How about interoperability (will it talk
to 802.11 products from other manufacturers)?

You mentioned support for Lucent chipset, can you name any specific
PC-Card wireless product based on that (i.e., something I could buy in a
store and then use with your driver).

Thanks. But you guys sure need an online ordering system.

It works with the Lucent Orinoco PC Card. That’s the only one I know that’s
based on the Lucent chipset, most other cards I’ve heard about are always
based on the Intersil PRISM2 chipset.

Thanks. But you guys sure need an online ordering system.

I’ll let the sales guys know there’s interest from customers in having one.
