Hello All,
I have installed QNX 4.25 on my laptop and I now wish to install the Photon
environment. The problem is that I have the files on a Zip Disk and QNX is
not reading my external Zip disk. Does any one know a fix for this problem?
Thanks,
Elmer Thomas

My zip is connected with a parallel port. It is a iomega zip drive.

There are two types of extern Zip disks, USB and SCSI.
If you have a USB drive, you are probably out of luck.
QSSL has some USB support, but I doubt there is any
for USB/SCSI.
If you have a SCSI drive, you can connect it to any
QNX supported SCSI controller. Iomega makes a
PCMCIA card, which is really just a relabled adaptec
card. It uses the Fsys.aha2scsi controller.

No it is very slow, and the cable came with it.

Where did you get the cable for that? I have a USB that also has a wide
cable option but no one seemed to know what it was for?
Is it faster than the USB version?

The parallel port Zip drive is only supported by a
driver that I sell. If you are interested, contact
me quickly as I will be on vacation for a week
starting 11:00AM Tomorrow PST.

So this is a different device than the USB version?

Yes, the external parallel port version is different to the newer external USB
version.
