Can’t find the release notes for 6.1… It’s not out there yet?

Here are ‘old’ release notes (for last beta release). They give you some
idea but are somewhat obsolete. They are probably writing new version, hence
the delay.
Some things not mentioned or obscure in that release note:
Updated Adaptec SCSI driver (support for boards/chipsets like 2930, 39xx,
29160, 789x …)
Updated EIDE driver (UDMA supported on more chipsets, like i820). Still no
UDMA/100 or Promise support.
PPPoE support
USB ethernet support (Pegasus and Kawasaki chipsets)
Wireless ethernet (802.11b) support (Lucent Orinoco chipset),
unfortunately undocumented at all.
New audio framework with more audio chips/codecs (Yamaha, Vortex, Via,
Neomagic, Intel, AC97)
New loaders and utility to write them (dloader).
Boot images can be up to 3.5 Mb big and items from /proc/boot can be
unloaded at the end of boot (once started), releasing memory back to system.
Very nice feature for embedded systems low on memory.

An announcement with all the details will go out this week. We are
in the process of getting the repositories and mirror sites updated
before we begin. We also encountered a glitch in the “Upgrade to 6.1.0”
package which we should have fixed shortly.

The fix procedure is now posted at http://qdn.qnx.com. The upgrade
package
has been posted at our repository again for those of you who have been
waiting to upgrade to 6.1.0 from any previous version of the QNX RTP.

Do we need to re-download ISO image (has it been updated to fix the upgrade
issue after release?)

Not unless you want the fixed upgrade package. That’s the only change.
