My sound card works perfectly In QNX but when trying to play audio CD’s
theres no sound.

I don’t know who the CD player that you are using works, but there is a
“feature” of all Computer CD players that they can play music CD’s
directly to the sound card’s amplifier, bypassing the need to read
the CD and send the data out through the DAC. The problem with this
method is that it relies on that thin, four wire cable connecting
the CD and the sound card. There are at least two versions of that
cable depending on the brand of CD, and if its not just right, well…
