QNX4 crashes periodically

Hi,

About 4 monthes I upgraded motherboard & CPU of my PC. After that QNX
(4.25E) crashes every day. Several times per day. Yesterday I lost files, I
was working on, bacause of crash. So I can’t stand it any more. Here is
some statistics. Sometimes it happens on QNX loading stage. In this case I
get typical crash screen (register states, etc). In most cases crash
happens when I’m under Photon : if I’m lucky, I’m thrown away from Photon
into text mode where I see SIGBUS message. In this case I can use
Shift-Ctrl-Alt-Del to reboot PC “softly”. If I’m not lucky, no any error
messages, I’m still under Photon, but everything hangs up and the only
thing I can do is hard reset.

No matter what I do. Crash can happens when I’m typing text in vedit, or
when I do nothing, or when PC in the sleep mode. Also crashes are
independent of running tasks.

Such crashes never happened before. My new motherboard is Abit BX133-RAID.
RAID is turned off. Chipset Intel 440BX. HPT370 Ultra DMA 100 controller.
CPU Intel Pentium III 1GHz. CPU FSB clock 133 MHz (I tried 100Mhz though. It
doesn’t help). BIOS settings set to fail-safe defaults.

Besides QNX, there is WinME and Linux Mandrake on the same PC. They work
with no any problem.

Please help.

Thanks in advance,
Gen

From the docs SIGBUS is an indication of a memory parity error. Did you
verify that the memory is okay?
