I have an application where I need to design some software under QNX
6.1 which will need to interface with a frame grabber. I have not
seen any references to supported frame grabbers on the QNX partners
pages, nor in any of the QNX news groups I have looked at
Surely someone out there has done this. Can anyone help?
There really aren’t any frame grabber manufacture, which offically supports
QNX 6.1. I have seen a couple of post from a company which have a driver a
specific chip - if you seach with google - I am sure you find it pretty
fast.
Besides that we are working with Bitflow (www.bitflow.com) to get them to
support QNX 6.1 with their Raven and Roadrunner models - another company
requesting QNX 6.1 support would probably help our common goal.

At this time we are porting the driver to QNX 6.1. We will finish the port
in two weeks. If you want a detailed description of the PC_EYE4
functionality, please send an email.

Yes … drivers for these very special devices must provided by the
hardware vendor!

Do you resell the actual hardware also. If so, how much is it? If not, where
can this card be bought in the US. I looked at the Eltec web site but there
does not appear to be any pricing or re-seller information.

That sounds great - please make an announce when you get it ported.
Thanks

Hello,
We at Clemson university use the Roadrunner framegrabber on qnx4
currently.
We will be porting it to QNX6.1 this summer

Some of the Matrox framegrabbers support QNX. Unfortunately
currently no low cost analog video grabber as it seems, but there are
digital framegrabbers (Meteor II/digital and MeteorII/Camera Link)
and high end analog/digital vision processors (Genesis) with QNX 6.1 support.
