New to QNX

Sorry if this gets repeated but my newserver is pretty bad at the mo.
So here I am downloading the QNX rtp at the mo, the 29meg file that is.
Now I like what I saw from the 1.44mb floppy disk demo and so thought I
would give the system proper a try.
I’d like to know tho what others would reccomend to a total newbie to this
whole OS.

Thanks in advance,

Tal’’,

I’ve only ever run QNX RTP 6.1. For the basic install of RTP I’ve found that
memory is the most critical. With anything less than 48Mb it runs into
memory problems. I once tried to develop on a machine with 32Mb and it kept
hanging with a full memory bar. The lowest spec machine I currently run it
on is a P75 with 64Mb. It’s a bit slow with graphics but quite acceptable to
me.

Of course if you develop on a higher spec machine and build your own cut
down version, or run in text mode only then you could run it on almost
anything.

Hi,
I’ve had a look at the QNX site and have been wondering what are the
realistic minimum specs for a QNX PC.
