That doesn’t mean you can’t run your parallel port in ECP or EPP
mode under QNX though but you’ll need to kill the standard QNX
parallel port driver and write your own. I did this myself once
about 4 years ago and it wasn’t too hard (we ran it in EPP mode).
There is a good book called “Parallel Port Complete” by Jan Axelson
that can give you all the details you need for configuring and using
the parallel port in EPP or ECP mode with your own software.
