netsniff under 4.25

Hi,

I recently tried to play a bit with netsniff because I had a problem with
snmp …

the configs were: one QNX-PC with two nics, one for the branch of the net to
be monitored. on that branch were also other devices. I started the PC
normally and it worked.

then I started

Net.ether1000 -P -l2 -vv -i5 &

and eliminated the entry in “netmap”
I also started Socket and Photon in order to access the PC via Phindows from
the MS-world …

then I started

netsniff -l2 -d ‘mac-address’

nothing happened so far.

Any idea what I did wrong??

Just some additional infos:

when I netsniff on Lan_1 everything seems to work, there is output. However
the network driver has been started without the option “-P” … strange,
isn’t it?

any idea
Jörg
