remote access

Anyone know how I would do the following.

  1. QNX controlled machine tool running on customer network behind a
    firewall.
  2. Access the desktop of the machine from my desktop for remote diagnostics.

In the windows world, Gotomypc seems to be the “safest” solution. Any ideas.

I have used phrelay and phindows on a local network but am wondering how to
do the same thing securely across the www.
