I am planning at a setup where in i have different Qnx 4.25

I am planning at a setup where in i have different Qnx 4.25 or QNX6 Clients
& a
database server. The Database server is Oracle or Sybase Which is on Linux.or
Windows

How can i communicate /Query datas from Qnx Clients to Server.
Do i require any ODBC component in my Clients side.
( I am sorry i am new to Databases ,the question may be simple)
If so, Does QNX4.25/QNX 6.2.1 have one ?

PS: i did not get answers in QNX 4 Public newsgroups & hence i am posting it
here

There was a poduct called Sybase SQL Anywhere (last version 5.5.05) sold for
QNX4,
probably you could use it to connect to Sybase Server.

Our company has developed for internal use a “solution” how to interact with
Oracle (version 8i),
but it is suitable for subset of database operations (inserts, selects,
deletes). Probably there are
some other ODBC solutions, but those were rather costly for our project.

Dear Sir,

Birdstep Technology has implemented a client/server database that runs cross
platform environments. The technology is called RDM Server, and in the past
been known under the name Velocis. This product will run the server part on
any type of machine (Windows/Linux/QNX) while you can have the client on a
QNX machine.

Please find more information on the product on
http://www.birdstep.com/database_technology/rdm_server.php3

If you should need any additional information commercially or technically,
please contact me directly.

Best regards,

Duncan Bates
