Dell PowerEdge & QNX compatibility

Hi

Our customers are about to buy Dell PowerEdge 2450 server and use QNX 4.XX
on it.
Main configuration includes some of this

integrated SCSI controller Adaptec 7899 Ultra3 ( Ultra160 )
Intel Pro 100+ Server ethernet chip ( …82559 ?)

Out question is what QNX SCSI Fsys driver could work with such SCSI ( maybe
Fsys.aha8scsi? ), and the same question about Inter Chip?
Or could we install QNX on this machine at all?

I can only comment on the 82559 chip, and yes, it will work with QNX4.

Hi Oleg,

Currently that chipset isn’t supported under QNX 4.25. A list of supported
SCSI chipsets can be found here:

support.qnx.com/support/hardware/qnx4/filesystem.html

I got a few of these and had to rip out the SCSI and replace it with a plain
old 2940.
