QNX 4.25 Patch Level D

Hi,
perhaps this is a somewhat easy question, but I can’t seem to find what I’m
looking for. What I need is a set of disk images for (Boot Disk, Disk 1,
Disk 2, etc…) But I can’t seem to find them, I currently have patch level
A and would love to be able to just install QNX up to date everytime rather
then have to add the patches manually, but I can’t find the tar file
anywhere on Quics or on the website, can anyone lead the way?

Hi Chris,

There currently isn’t a diskset that includes the D patch in it, however there
are two possible routes you can take:

  • Download the Pdiskset from

/updates/qnx42/Released

on QUICS (FTP, or Website), ether case you will have to have your products
registered in order to get them.

Once you download the pdiskset (qnx425.pdiskset.tar.F) you then will have to
download the boot diskette (qnx425A.bootdisk.F) as well as the D patch
(qnx425D.tar.F). You will need to create the diskset on a currently functioning
QNX system (instruction can be found in qnx425.pdiskset.doc). Unfortunatly
the D patch won’t fit onto a floppy diskette, so it will have to be copied over
in another fashon.

OR

You can get the Update CD and just install it from there. Your sales rep
can help you with this.

Take care.

Erick.

to get files like these, you have to be the owner of purchased copies of the
original distrubution media. You should find a serial number on the back of
the original floppies, or on paper licences that came with a CD. You register
these either at telent://qnx.com/ where you create a user account and register
your serial numbers, and then you have access to files in your /update
directory (this method is soon to dissapear though, if I read things right), or
you go to this web address:

http://support.qnx.com/download/updates/index.html

and register and download old style files, or download the new cd format files.
