CWMatrix Widget? Anyone?

Hello!

I have seen that subj is used in some apps.
In fact, its a spreasheet widget. Has anybody seen that alone?
Or, maybe, someone can give me a clue how to get it and where?

Thanks in advance.

Sincerely,

Al Joe Khara

Hello,

We wrote that one. It is a custom widget that is intended to be used
to implement spreadsheet style applications. It is only available
as part of the Gamma (was Slang) language, which you can learn about
at www.cogent.ca.

We don’t normally ship CwMatrix with Gamma because, frankly, it is
something of a support burden. It’s a pretty complicated widget, and
we haven’t implemented every possible option. If you are running Gamma
then we can send you a loadable object module to try out, though I
cannot guarantee how quickly we will respond to technical support
questions.

Currently this is only for QNX4/Photon 1.14, though we hope to have
something for Neutrino/Photon 2 “soon”.

Regards,
Andrew Thomas

It would be very nice to receive object, though I’m starting to learn
Gamma, questions can arise during the process.

One more question:

Can Cascade Connect be as server on M$ Win, and QNX as a client?
In other words, can I have M$ Win computer remotely controlled from
QNX client?

I’ll see what I can do to get you a shared object file.

The interface between the MS-Windows application and the QNX
application is bi-directional, and approximately symmetrical. Both
the Windows application and the QNX application can send and
receive data. Remember that Cascade Connect sends and receives
to Windows applications as DDE messages, so you will need a Windows
application that understands DDE in order to control it from QNX.
