We may need to use Windows 2000 in our project and would like to mount a
portion of the Win2k file system from QNX4. I know there were problems
with samba when Win2k first came out. Has this been fixed? Can QNX4
mount Win2k files?
I have had good luck with the 2.07 port that Rick Lake made available -
I am not sure if that’s the one on Quics… His version required the
crypt update to QNX.

Oh yes, that’s samba itself, no? I was thinking the other way around where
the QNX4 box is the client. That uses the QSSL program SMBfsys. Anybody from
QSSL care to comment?

Yes. We use SMBfsys also. It works fine with the machines in
our office doing small jobs, but there are other sites where
we never got it to work, and have no clue why. By “small jobs”,
I mean “less than a disk copy”. We had problems copying QNX to W95
when there were more than ~50 files to be copied. This was about a
year ago - haven’t tried lately.
