I’m in the process of getting my beta status back, so I can’t get any of the
info on this issue. I used to belong to several betas, but once the switch
was made to the web site I turned into a ghost.

I would like to know the current list of SCSI interface cards supported by
the Fsys.aha8scsi driver (one, two, three cards)? This could even be in the
form of the supported hardware list.

Thanks

Augie,
I’d love to help (and to know what you requested) but what I posted
was exactly what was in the readme…

Can somebody from QNX please let us know which chipsets/cards
the update CHIM code supports?

Thanks,
Jay

I tried two adapters which weren’t supported:

AHA-2930U - still not supported
AHA-2940U2W - now supported

David

I have a customer with a AHA-2930U controller… Does anyone know if
this is supported by the new beta?

Thanks,

You “should” have the following docs in your current QNX4.25 installation.
We are currently working on updating the supporting hardware page.

/usr/help/product/qnx_4.25_en/utils/f/fsysaha8.html

or on quics at:

http://betas.qnx.com/qnx425/Updates/010201.Fsys.aha8scsi.html

Hope this helps.

So what is the trick to betas.qnx.com? I’ve been in the beta from the
beginning and still have
access on native QUICS but the login for this apparently doesn’t want the
QUICS login…

Hello,

I am in the Aha8scsi beta and have downloaded the driver. I have a Server with
SCSI only. If i start with a boot disk and start the driver by itself, I can
see the disks, partion, format etc.

I need to install QNX, photon, Tcp/Ip on this computer. I have the latest CD
and boot disk. When it does its thing for finding pieces of the computer,
obviously it does not find the SCSI (2940U2W - 7890CHIM) disks. I click on the
“Add” button and copy the driver from the floppy to “/ram”. When I start the
driver, the photon installation screen totally locks up. How do I install QNX
from the CD (starting Fsys.aha8scsi by itself) if I cannot install photon to the
disk?

Kevin Hammond

What’s the trick to see this? I have beta perms on Quics,
and if I telnet to Quics, my login works, but not via a browser…

The update system has changed and is now accessible through the web,
however you need a new userid and passwd. For info on how to join
