frame grabber for qbx4

dear all,

in our project we need to capture video stream in real time from set of
cameras
(no more than four) and make some futher processing. can you please suggest
me video frame grabber supported under qnx4 ? some key features are:

video format is monochrome
resolution is about 512x486
frames per second is 20…25
memory buffer for 2…4 frames
stable qnx4 drivers to access device

as far as i remember someone have already discussed here video grabbers for
qnx4 but unfortunatelly i cannot find that messages thread in my archive :frowning:

i was suggested to use video frame grabbers from Imagenation and accorsing
to their data sheets smth like CX Family of their products would be fine for
us
but i would like also to hear another suggestions.

thank you

on qnx.com website, if you go to ‘partners’ and then go to the solutions
directory you can search on grabber and capture.

a number of them are there, including Dipix, ImageNation and others
(in no particular order)

We used on from Phytec (http://www.phytec.de), though they have no drivers
for QNX, but an excellent documentation, so that I was able to write a
driver within 2 days, unfortunately not to give away :frowning: . Cost was aprox
$US 100 for the monochrome version.

The company has at least a branch in the US, I’m not sure if they
have on in Russia …

Karsten.

we have a driver for Brooktree (now Conexant) Bt848 based grabber
cards (which are usually low-cost). The Bt848 should match your needs
(it grabs video sources in PAL and NTSC). If you’re interested i can
send more info directly.
