I am trying to replace an old 90MHz motherboard with a new one. The new one
is Magic-Pro MP-6VIP-D2 motherboard running an 800 MHz PIII CPU. The OS
used is QNX 4.22. The problem I faced is that the original network card
LinQnet PCI Q-1200 cannot be initialized by Net.ether2100.
Net &
%1 + 45 Running Net
Net.ether2100 -S0 -v &
% 2 + 47 Running Net.ether2100 -S0 -v
% 2 + 47 Done(1) Net.ether2100 -S0 -v
In addition, on top the screen the following message appears.
Chips 02C5
I/O port base EC00
Rom Segment (not used)
MAC address 0020 AD00 02F9
DMA channel (unused)
Burst Read (init) disabled
Burst Write (init) disabled

This is most probably due to the DMA setup on your new machine. In the
bios check to see if you can setup DMA channel 5 for ISA. If you are
upgrading your machine, how about upgrading your network adapter as
well! You are also running and old version of the O/S.
