Net.ether82557 problem

I have a machine running an Intel Pro10/100 NIC and I’m using Net.ether82557
version 4.25E. The problem I have is that the network appears to freeze
about every 10 seconds for about a second or two. netinfo reports no errors.
If I force the card to run at 10Mbit, by using a 10Mbit hub, the problem
goes away. If I use a 3C905 100Mbit card the problem also goes away. So it
seems that either the NIC itself has problems, or the driver is not quite as
it should be.

Is this problem known about chez QSSL?

Seems to be cured in 4.25G which I’ve just found.
