Phindows crashing in Windows 2000

Hello.

I am using Phindows to access my QNX4 box from my Windows 2000 workstation.
Previously, I had been using Windows NT 4.0 and had no problems with it.
When I upgraded to Win2000, I found that the response was somewhat sluggish
(no big surprise there  ) and that the Photon session would lock up quite
frequently. It usually happens when I have been trying to use PhAB, but as
I mentioned, I havenā€™t had this problem previously. So, I guess my
questions are:

  1. Has anyone else experienced this behaviour with Phindows and Win2000?
  2. Is there an incompatibility with Phindows and Win2000?
  3. Would increasing the amount of memory used by Phindows help the problem
    or make things worse?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I havenā€™t had a single problem with Phindows running W2K.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

phindows v1.2 works very well for us under win2k build 2195.
also i tested it under winnt 4.0 all sp and all flawors of win95 -
it works well.

network is 100Mb twisted pair ethernet.
no comments about serial connection.

i found only one disadvantage in phindows: it dosnā€™t support
cacheing of true type fonts we primary use on qnx4 side, only
phf :frowning: but this is not a windows problem.

Ok, gentlemen, then that is encouraging. What size of memory cache do you
use? I believe that I am setting 20 MB for Phindows - is this enough or too
much?

Thanks.

Yes 20Mb. Ram cache 1024k and disk 20Mb. However I beleive
the disk part isnā€™t used. I also think ram cache value isnā€™t very
meaningfull.
I try setting ram cache to 10Meg and it didnā€™t make any difference in
the totaly memory used by Phindows ???
