QNX CD Installer

Hi, I am a user of QNX 4.22 in Hong Kong SAR. I would like to upgrade to
QNX 4.25. From the web page of QNX, I need to have a CD Installer since my
system is up and run since 1997. May I ask where I can obtain the CD
Installer - from Japan Office or from Canada.

If you can FTP to quic.qnx.com/updates/qnx42/Released, you
can download a tar.F file to use with install -u, or a
“diskset” to make floppies. Using the tar file is a bit tricky
going from 4.22, as I recall.
Make sure you have a working .altboot.

You will need to purchase the upgrade CD.
There is a QNX rep/dist. in Beijing:

You have to have a quics account, which you can create by telnet’ing
to quics.qnx.com. Then you have to add your QNX4.2x license number
and password (on the little white sticker on the back of one of the
disks in the disk set you bought), using the ‘profile’ command. Then
the /updates/qnx42 directory will show up. There might be a way to do
this via the web, but I haven’t looked for it.

The CD should be free if you purchased your development system and don’t have
one. There are references to it on the website near where the upgrades are to be
found.
