I’m looking for video cards for Photon 1.14x with enabled ‘-B’ optiion.
I found only two drivers: Pg.Banshee and Pg.rage128, but working cards
aren’t unaccesible on our market…
Are there any other cards/drivers with double buffering feature for
Photon 1.14x/QNX4?
Are there any plans for developing graphisc drivers with double
buffering?

Hi,
Are cards with double buffering faster than other cards ?
Gerd
Non-QSSL Answer.
I believe tha main advantage is that they can eliminate flicker.
I.E. If object a is partially covered by object b which is partially covered
by object c. If you change object a, it needs to re-draw object a, then b
on top of it, then c on top of b. This causes flicker as you see objects
disapear and reappear. With a double buffered driver the new image is build
in an off-screen buffer. Then the screen is told to display from the new
buffer.
