SIGSEGV and Tilcon TRTD

When I run a Tilcon TRTD application for a few hours and then go back to the
pterm from where it was launched I get a SIGSEGV (memory fault) when trying
to run “anything” eg sin, ls. The only way out is to close down photon then
everything is OK.

Tilcon say there is a hardware conflict between QNX4 and TRTD - does anyone
know any more about this ?

the Tilcon software tickled a bug in photon which has since been fixed.
the problem was related to using memory contexts in photon, which the tilcon
software uses.

the latest CD from qnx available from us, as well as the updates on our
site.
the fix is in photon in the May 2001 update CD.

this was a hard bug to find, and is mainly tickled by creating/destroying
memory contexts in very fast succession.
the details are in the release notes with the update. sorry for any
inconvenience…
