Is there any documentation on how to make DNS and /etc/hosts work
together on QNX 4.25?
I added the DNS name to /etc/resolv.conf but to no avail. Any insight
would be appreciated.

What kind of problem were you having (specifically if possible)?
One case I had with DNS was that I needed to specify a default route to my
gateway before I could get name requests to work ("route add default
"), then name requests worked for me.

The default would be to use the name server only.
To look in your /hosts file first add this line to
/etc/resolv.conf
lookup file bind
If you are having trouble with the nameserver, let me
ask this starter question, can you ping the
nameserver’s IP address?
