Driver for 3Com 10/100 Mini PCI Ethernet adapter

Hello.

I am trying to configure QNX4 networking on a Dell Latitude notebook
computer that has a 3Com 10/100 Mini PCI Ethernet adapter. The
installation program was able to detect the card (since it is a PCI
device), but was unable to configure the card. nettrap fails to detect
the card. Here is the info from show_pci:

PCI version = 2.10

Class = Mass Storage (IDE)
Vendor ID = 8086h, INTEL CORPORATION
Device ID = 244ah,
PCI index = 0h
IO @ bfa0h
PCI Int Pin = NC
Interrupt line = 0

Class = Display (VGA)
Vendor ID = 1002h, ATI TECHNOLOGIES INC
Device ID = 4d46h,
PCI index = 0h
MEM @ e8000000h IO @ cc00h MEM @ fcffc000h
PCI Int Pin = INT A
Interrupt line = 11

Class = Multimedia (Audio)
Vendor ID = 125dh,
Device ID = 1998h,
PCI index = 0h
IO @ ec00h MEM @ f8ffe000h
PCI Int Pin = INT A
Interrupt line = 5

Class = Network (Ethernet)
Vendor ID = 10b7h, 3Com
Device ID = 6055h,
PCI index = 0h
IO @ e800h MEM @ f8ffdc00h MEM @ f8ffd800h ROM @
f9000000h disabled
PCI Int Pin = INT A
Interrupt line = 11

I tried using the Net.ether905 driver with it and supplied it with the
-d option, but it didn’t work (ie. the driver stayed loaded but the
netinfo -l gave a MAC address of all zeros).

Thanks in advance.

Oh, well. Thought I would ask anyways. Thanks for the info, Hugh. I
will just get a PCMCIA card that I know works.

Regards.
