Booting on a LS-120 in QNX4?

I am using QNX 4.25, and I want to boot on a LS-120, but it seems, as the
LS-120 is seen as a HD, that the bootloader boot on HD0. However my LS-120
(on secondary master) is seen as /dev/fd0
I know I can “hack” the bootloader as I have seen in a newsgroup, but is
there a better and simpler way?

You don’t need to hack the bootloader, you need to create a new image file
(.boot).

Do you want to boot from it and give control to the HD or have eveything on
the LS-120?

I want everything on the LS-120

I made a .boot with the mount -p /dev/fd0 blablabla

The machine will have a HD, but can be removed, so the only bootable device
will be the LS-120

Actually if I try to boot on the LS-120, it seems the bootsector is read by
the BIOS, and executed, which load the boot of HD0

I tried a lot of things and cannot really boot on the LS-120, the .boot is
not read on the LS-120

Do you have the latest patch E for QNX 4.25 I think at some point in time
dinit was fixed to write the proper bootloader on the disk?

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Don’t create partitions on LS-120
Then in your .boot you can mount /dev/fd0 /

The machine will have a HD, but can be removed, so the only bootable
device
will be the LS-120
