We have come across the following error message when attempting to
compile an Assembler 51 program (in QNX 4.24):
“//1/usr/local/bin/asm51 terminated (SIGSEGV) at 0007:0000F402”
What is the significance of this message? We previously had no trouble
but have recently increased the size of the program. Obviously the
problem is size-related.

It means the program “asm51” has crashed. The number is the address
where the illegal operation occured.
Check if you can obtain a more recent version of asm51.
