IBM Microdrive 1 GB with Versa Logic VL-CFA-1

Hi.

I’m trying to use an IBM 1 GB Microdrive with the Versa Logic VL-CFA-1.
This is supposed to make the hard drive look and act like any other 1 GB IDE
hard drive.

I installed QNX 4 and Photon 1.14 on this drive with no problems.

After I made some changes and rebooted the system, then there was ‘file’
corruption.

For example, I ran Photon and set the video mode, then I rebooted and ran
Photon. The machine crashed. I checked the crt.4 file and it was all
garbage.

I also made some changes to the sysinit file and the same thing happen after
reboot.

Has anyone used these products? Seen any of these issues?

Is there a problem using the Fsys.eide driver with the IBM Microdrive?

TIA

Augie

Hi Augie,

Not that I have seen or heard of these problems, but what version
of the OS are you running 4.2XX?

Thanks

Erick.
