Mounting a pc floppy disk drive as /dev/fd0

Is there a way, or a QNX product, that allows me to mount the floppy disk
of a pc/windows95, connected on the same network, as my QNX4 /dev/fd0 drive?
I’m running Windows 95 and, so far, I am able to mount my pc floppy
disk as /dev/fd0 using SMBfsys. However, when I try to use fdformat,
dinit, or need to access any file in a QNX4-formatted floppy disk, I
get the following errors:
“fdformat: no disk name for ‘/dev/fd0’”;
“DINIT: can’t open drive ‘/dev/fd0’: No such file or directory”.

Am I on the right track? Or is there a different way to do that?

Thanks in advance for any help!

I don’t think you can do that!
AFAIK the only way to get a QNX4 diskette read is to physically put it
into a floppy drive physically attatched to a QNX4 (or QNX6) system.
The problem is that SMB mounting does not normally make the drive
hardware available, but only gives remote access to an already mounted
file system on the server. (Which could happen to be on the floppy, but
Win '95 must be able to directly read the file system on the floppy,
before it shares it)
