licenses in /etc vs. /.licenses

I have the need to move some licenses to an embedded platform. I
apparently have only 2 in the file /.licenses, the rest in
/etc/licenses.

How can I move them from /etc/licenses to /.licenses ?

You can’t. Use the “license” command to copy licenses from /etc/licenses to
wherever you want them (floppy, network node, etc.). Licenses in the
/.licenses file can be copied by copying the file, or concatenating several
…license files, or editting the file by hand.

I seem to remember Igor (or someone) has a utility to convert
those files in /etc/licenses to regular files, so that you can
copy them freely.

The problem is this is an embedded system. Not only is the space on the
flash very tight, but the process of getting files to it is not that
easy.

Also, I have more that forty (40) licenses on the network and about 8
computers. It’s not like I’m doing something I shouldn’t. I just want
to
get the licenses to the single board computer.

Thanks for the help.

Maybe QSLL may help you converting yours /etc/licence/* licences
to /.licenses ? I suppose they can do it. -

If you wish all new style licenses I would suggest calling your Sales rep.
They may be able to issue you new licenses depending on what version
of QNX4 you have (and what parts have been upgraded).
