LG Semicon 82C911 Ethernet Controller

Anybody had experience with noted above chipset ? We want to use in our
project the following PC/104 CPU board from RTDUSA:

http://www.rtdusa.com/PC104/CM/586/cme.htm

and i want to be sure that installed onboard controller is supported by QNX
4.25 patch E. From supported hardware list i see QNX4 supports SMC83C17x,
SMC 91C9x chipsets etc. but there’s no direct notes about 82C911. I guess it
might be compatible with NE2000 but i cannot access SMC’s web site at
http://www.smc.com and there’s no any information about compatability at
board’s documentation.

Thank you for your attention.

Looking around on the Internet it looks like this chip is NE2000 compatible,
but it
is not an SMC chip. Try using the Net.ether1000 driver. Good luck.

Yes, this is what technical support folks told me about this chipset. It is
NE2000 compatible. I wasn’t bothered to drop a note just course no one
interested so thought it’s not important. Now confirming - according to
plate manufacturer note it is  Well, cannot say for sure anyway due to i
don’t have yet behind me this board so cannot test.
