EKit flash filesystem

We’re using the EKit libraries from Apr,9 99 to build a driver for our
product’s flash filesystem.
If compressing files into the filesystem using “cbpe -f anyfile
/efs1p1/anyfile”, all files with a length multible of 4096 have additional 4
bytes (“FE 7F FE FF”) at the end of the file. This does not accur if the
files are simpy copied with “cp”.

Any suggestions?

In the meantime we noticed that this problem depends on the contents of the
files:
we have filled files with ASCII numbers and they had the additional 4 bytes
at the end, other files, filled with random binary content kept the length
of 4096 bytes.
