Size of .inode file

Is there any possibility to adjust the size of .inode file in some other
(non dectructive) way, not “dinit …” ?
The goal is to clean and “free” the unused entries in the file while
preserving the data (filesystem).

The size of .inode file is 50, 60, or even 70 Mb (record), this happened
by saving thousands of files with the name longer than 16 characters.

The size of .inode degrades the filesystem performance …

Thanks for an answer.

No, there isn’t.

The best I can suggest is to get a second disk, copy everything to the
new disk, dinit the current, then copy everything back. (Incidentally,
this will also defrag your disk.)
