QNX 4.22 problem with a 10 gig hard drive

Whenever I load QNX 4.22 to a 10 gig IDE hard drive it can only give me 500 MB of space.

The proper cylinder, head, sector numbers were setup but to no avail.

I believe that you’ll need a much newer Fsys.eide driver then the 4.22 has.

Correct. The 500MB limitation was something that was around before
LBA if I remember correctly. So the Fsys driver does not know how
to use the LBA addressing which that drive needs. Update to the latest
version and you should be ok.

Erick.

Note that it is probably possible to run the 4.25 Fsys and its associated
32 bit drivers under 4.22. I believe it was developed this way.
