Bar Code Scanners/Scanning

I am working on a project that we would like to utilize bar codes to acquire
data. I was just wondering if anybody out there has done this and how
difficult it was and, also, what brands have you used. Any help or
suggestions would be greatly appreciated, so thanks in advance.

I haven’t done this my self, but the guy beside me did  Apparently
this is very simple stuff, it comes down to parsing a string …

The model is Symbol. Not perfect (slow to init) but does
the job well I’m told.

Look for a company called PloyTel on the net. I don’t know if they are
still around but their product was very easy to use (we’re talking about a
decade ago.)

Hi Ross,

Check the Partners section of the QNX website and do a search for bar scanners
or other keywords like that. A few entries might be in there.

Erick.

I’m sorry. That was a typo. Try PolyTel Inc.

But, if they don’t exist anymore, them I’m sorry.
