UPDATE: I removed the new motherboard ans processor, installed another new MB /
Processor,
this time a PIII, 1Ghz. Same ram (exactly, 512MB). Works like a charm. What’s
really going on
here? It maust be the way the processor addresses the RAM and the hard drives.
Speaking of hard drives, is a couple of 120GB hard drives too much?
I’m going to have to bit the bullet and go to RTP!
Thanks for the help,
~ Jeff

Well, either that or just “On Something”.
There have been issues with very large amounts of ram. You may neeed to
play with some of thre heap numbers on Proc.
But, someone from QSSL will have to comment.

Yes. I went from 96MB to 512MB. Are you on to something?

Just a guess. Was there a substancial upgrade in memory too?

Weird errors…
I upgraded the motherboard w/ generic board and P4 processor (same
hard
drives, same network card, etc.). The new motherboard has a P4.
‘Net’
has been failing with the error ‘Huh? no buffers’. Hard drive copying
has problems, with errors like ‘too many files open’.
Does QNX 4.25 (patch “E”) support a P4? Anyone have problems with a
P4? Is there new features I should disable in the BIOS?
TIA,
Jeff Jordan
