ftp files being corrupt

This is weird.

We are ftp’ing files from an external source to a QNX node. The files from
time to time become corrupt on the server side (QNX node). The files are
plain text files and when the files are cat’ed on the QNX node, appear as
partly the file that was sent and portions of another file that previously
existed on the QNX node. Example: send new_file.csv then cat new_file.csv
and new_file.csv shows the output of /etc/config/netmap as well as portions
of new_file.csv.

Any ideas? Past experiences?

That is strange. You are transfering the files in ASCII mode correct?

Also include a sin ver, perhaps updating to the latest release might help
(if it’s an Fsys problem).

List the “sin ver” to determine which version of TCP/IP you are using. Is
the FTP link getting
terminated at the client before transfer is complete? Or is the server
being powered down while
an FTP transfer is taking place?

Run a “chkfsys -u /” on your hard drive to clean up any corruption. Then
see if any FTP
errors show up afterwards.
