Hello,
on Win32 I can use ‘Virtual’ com ports lets say from 1 to 99.
Is this possible on QNX4?

Like Mario, I don’t know what a virtual comm port is either, but, have you
looked at the functionality of pipes, named pipes (FIFOs) and pseudo ttys?
Maybe one of these comes close to what you are looking for.

Do you mean a certain standard solution, or just you need
many virutal lines established over one physcial line (RS232 or RS485) ?
(We can provide you such solution). Or have you meant a virtual line
over TCP/IP ?

What does a “Virtual” com port under windows do?
My first guess would be Dev.pty which gives you “pseudo terminals”,
about the closest lexical match I can find for “virtual com ports”.
