Net.ether9000 error

We have a customer getting a constant flow of “(1462) 9000 ( rx) rx overrun
(allocation failed)” error messages when
running ‘netinfo’. Does anyone have any specific information on what this
error means. We have over 400 units in the
field and only this one has this error. I am suspecting something on the
customers network is causing it, but what?
Any help in appreciated.

Sounds to me as though there is a lot of traffic on the network that is
causing the receiver to overrun on the NIC. Is the driver maybe being
started in promiscuous mode? Has the customer tried changing the adapter
to see if the problem goes away?
