QNX 4 Device Driver for Intel 82562 ET network chip

Hi there,
does anyone know if there is a specific (or compatible) QNX4 driver
available for the Intel 82562 ET network chip? We’re working with a Radisys
Endura GL815e which has an integrated 82562 ET network chip.

Thanks in advance for any help!

The Net.ether82557 driver should support this chip. What version are you
running? You can also try running Net.ether82557 with the -V and -D command
line parameters to specify the Vendor and Device ID to the driver.

I am working with a Radisys EPC2325, and it has the Intel 82562ET chip as
well, however I tried to play with Net.ether82557 and the -D option, trying
numbers I got from show_pci, without success…

anyone has a solution?

What version of the driver are you running?

I am using Net.ether82557 4.25G dated January 11th 2001.
the show_pci shows me a device ID of 0xabcd (don’t remember, have to check)
for the net card, so I tried
Net.ether82557 -V 0x8086 -D 0xabcd but it gives me “DriverInit: Unable to
locate adapter”
Do I need extra option like -I or -p or -i ?

No, but try without the 0x before the vendor and device IDs.

Hugh,
thanks for taking your time to reply to my note.
We upgraded to Net.ether82557 4.25G - Jan,2001 and it worked fine. We
specified the vendor and device ID with the command line -V and -D, as
you’ve suggested.
Again, thanks for your help!
