Does QNX4 have driver for ESS’s ES1688 or ES688 AudioDrive chipset? If I use
its soundblaster mode, how do I interface to the “Audio” drive?

Alsa driver available on QNX ftp site may support it.

I am not sure if this can help you, but for ES1371 we have ported and
extended one GPL library. You can download it from our website.

If I just use it as a soundblaster, how do I talk to it.
Specifically, I need to stream PCM data to the chipset.

I beleive the Audio driver should work, but you may need to setup plug and
play.
