I am running QNX 4 on an SBS V5C single board computer (SBC) + a
VME-6200 20GB hard disk. (This all sits in a VME crate.) The V5C has an
800MHz P3 and a SCSI port. A SCSI CD-ROM is how I installed QNX.
Two questions:
-
Does anyone know how I can do a “real” backup of this system? I can
FTP files, but I want a full disk backup/restore function. I can buy a
SCSI CD-RW, but what about software?
-
SBS does not seem interested in supporting the V5C under QNX 6. Does
anyone know why not? (I can make guesses.) Is anyone running QNX 6 on
any SBC VME system? Could you share a description of your installation?

Hi John,
There is a third party software solution for CDR backups. Young
Minds has a solution that you can use for QNX 4.

Not sure about #2 though.
Best regards,
Erick.
