Hi, I have experimentally upgraded one of out 4.25E systems with the G patch
and the touchscreen no longer works. In 4.25E it works with “Smartset
fd -d/dev/ser1” in the input.1 file in the /etc/config/trap/ directory
I did not rebuild Proc, simply ran the update and restarted the system.
Is there some change to Input that I have missed? or should I have rebuilt
Proc32?

This really should be posted in the beta newsgroups, however check
to see if Input has changed. Whats the data on Input? See if its
been upgraded (not sure what is included in the beta patch). Also
make certain that /dev/ser1 is infact avaiable.

Hi, not sure if I should continue here so please be suitably horrid if I
shouldn’t
The touch screen works after the patch is applied until the system is
rebooted
Input seems unchanged (file is same date)
2 Copies of input running (as a result of starting photon) arguments are for
kbd & mouse (first line in Input.1) and smartset (2nd line in Input.1)
stty < /dev/ser1 reports are identical on working and non working version
One thing that is different is that when I exit photon back to the shell
that launched it the “waiting for input to start…” message has not been
issued! (is this significant?) even though input is running (almost like it
didn’t understand the smartset line)
Subsequently running qtalk on ser1 gives the usual smiley faces etc when I
touch the screen.
